Long Story Short
The journey of the Dolce Vita Hotel ALPIANA began in 1975 when Josef and Rosa Margesin established a quaint inn with 25 rooms, laying the groundwork for what would evolve into today’s hotel. By 1979, Johann and Monika had taken the reins, gradually transforming the former “Völlanerhof” into an elegant wellness hotel.
A new era dawned when their two sons, Johannes and Christian, began to actively help shape the family business and gradually take over its management. In 2015, the Völlanerhof became an architectural highlight with unique interiors and an extensive spa, pool and garden area. ALPIANA was born. A family endeavour that has gradually blossomed into an exceptional holiday resort near Meran.
In 2023, the family’s vision expanded further with the realisation of a long-held dream. The Cape of Senses, a spa hideaway on Lake Garda, emerged as the latest embodiment of the family’s passion and commitment, their new pride and joy.
In 2025, the ALPIANA introduced its latest innovation: the ALCIELO Spa Retreat – wellness elevated to new heights.
Located on the hotel’s top two floors, ALCIELO offers unforgettable moments of relaxation and renewal:
-
Rooftop infinity pool with panoramic views
-
BLACK DIAMOND bio sauna with glass dome
-
Rooftop wellness terrace & herb garden
-
New fitness and yoga space with a view
-

This latest addition reflects the Margesin family's vision: to continuously create new, high-quality experiences for their guests.
