Not a diet, but a way of life: vegan cuisine at the ALPIANUM restaurant.
Veganism is a diet based on a diet without animal products. What initially sounded like a challenge for our kitchen team turned out to be an opportunity to give free rein to our creativity. Vegan cuisine goes far beyond salads - almond milk, tofu and agave syrup replace fish, meat, eggs and honey and offer numerous possibilities for preparing varied and delicious dishes.
Sustainability plays a key role here at ALPIANA and is firmly anchored in our philosophy. Wherever possible, we do not use animal products - not least in the kitchen. The ALPIANUM in Lana near Merano therefore offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. We pay meticulous attention to the origin and quality of our ingredients and try to work regionally and seasonally. By the way, typical South Tyrolean dishes can also be prepared vegan - so nobody has to miss out on an authentic vacation experience.
