ALPIANA's culinary art

The plate is the stage, the buffet a culinary play, the dishes masterfully arranged. In the ALPIANA – green luxury Dolce Vita Hotel, eating becomes a fascinating spectacle.

07.30 am until 10.30 am

The day starts with the rising of the sun, on the terrace, in the midst of nature. Excitingly colourful, the breakfast buffet appears. Sweet and savoury corners. Freshly baked rolls and croissants. Only the best gets to be in the banquet. And because home-made is so delicious, you'll have to try our fruit spreads.
For early birds, the spa lounge offers a small energy breakfast corner from 7.00 am. Fragrant coffee drives out the last bit of sleepiness and sweet treats pamper you.

12.30 until 2.00 pm

Dishes as a reflection of the culinary ensemble – a bit of the mountains, a bit of the Mediterranean. Tyrolean and Italian delicacies. That’s what South Tyrol tastes like. At lunchtime you can enjoy a light lunch with fresh salads and vegetables from the region, warm dishes of the day and a delicious soup in the Alpianum restaurant or on our sun terrace from 12.30 to 2.00 pm.

12.30 until 3.00 pm

Would you like anything else? You can indulge in culinary delights from our small bistro menu from 12.30 to 3.00 pm. (for a fee)

12.30 until 4.00 pm

When the afternoon sun warms faces and minds, the soul is only missing something sweet for perfect happiness. Our patisseur Martina will spoil you with homemade cakes from 12.30 to 16 o'clock and that will turn the terrace into a terrazza and vacation into dolce vita.

7.00 pm until 8.30 pm

Eating with style – in the designer dining room ALPIANUM. Eating beneath the stars – on the terrace with the glass roof. Eating close to nature – because the contents of the plates get straight to the point.
Restaurant ALPIANUM pares down its cuisine to the basics to bring out the taste of high quality products. The à la carte restaurant keeps its promise: a culinary journey through South Tyrol, unreservedly involving the best from outside the region's borders, too.

Wine country South Tyrol. Big names like Alois Lageder and Weingut Sölva swish calmly around your glass. South Tyrol is proud of its wine, and ALPIANA – green luxury Dolce Vita Hotel of its carefully chosen wine list.

As intensive as its origins

20 different wine varietals thrive in South Tyrol over an area of 5,300 hectares. These produce 350,000 hectolitres of wine a year, which 5,000 wine farmers deliver to 160 local wineries. Done with the number crunching, we'll come to the point.

High mountain peaks protect Meraner Land holiday region from the cold north wind. The climate around here has much in common with a Mediterranean climate. Grapes ripen on sunny slopes and develop their charismatic intensity. Some vineyards may be found as high up as 550 metres above sea level, as every varietal has its own preferred location and the Vernatsch varietal displays a mixture of mild bitter almond spice and fruit aroma. Vernatsch wine is very much associated with the area around Meran, along with Pinot Noir and Merlot, which also thrive around here. The Großvernatsch grape, also known as the 'spa grape of Meran', is not only famed for its tasty fruit, but contains a wealth of important vitamins and salts used in the 'Meran grape treament'.

At ALPIANA – green luxury Dolce Vita Hotel these regional wines may be found alongside fine wines from further afield on the carefully selected wine list. ALPIANA Wine Bar gives guests a chance to taste choice wines on a regular basis.
